The Volk Area Centralis® is excellent for critically evaluating and treating subretinal neovascularization and changes from macular degen-eration, retinal vascular occlusions, diabetic macular edema, proliferative diabetic retinopathy and other retinal conditions. It is ideal for focal laser treatment of these conditions providing excellent magnification combined with a good field of view. The Area Centralis is prop-erly designed for use within the range of motion of your slit lamp biomicroscope, without compromise of image binocularity or stereopsis.
